About

Power Cartel looks at the ways we power the computers, phones, and other devices we rely on every day.

Power Cartel is for people who aren’t satisfied with the information and products available today. We go below the surface, with teardowns, and more.

We’ll be highlighting interesting projects by people who need more from their power sources, and starting a few of our own.

Power Cartel is a work in progress. We appreciate your feedback and suggestions and hope you’ll check back often.

  1. I found this page thorugh FT, and you explanation of the zh-yu-zb206-battery-tester is very helpful. Thanks for doing such a thankless job for the rest of us.

I bought this with the purpose of tinkering and comparing the various 18650 batteries used in vaping. Mainly, I want to compare the state specs of a battery as well as how they perform against each other. I’m aware that the result will be far from analytic in a lab setting, but it would be nice if I were able to take data and graph it for my purposes.

You’ve broken down how the battery tester works – I’m not sure how to interpret the data here. If you could explain it a bit to me that would be helpful.

I’m also unsure of how to use the the other 2 wires for a 4 wire connection (I also have the corresponding 4 wire battery fixture as well from FT).

The transistor and heatsink do get pretty, so I’m working about running the test for even a few tenths of a volt before stopping it.

    Thanks.

    1. Hey, Thomas. Sorry about that. I should probably just shut down the forum. It never got enough use to be worth taking care of. Commenting on the posts here is probably the best bet, though honestly, I haven’t done anything with this in about a year.

  3. Hello,
How’re you today? I want to place an order from your company? Do you ship to the Germany? and accept credit cards? Do you also work on weekends? What is the name of your credit card processing merchant you run your credit card charges with? Kindly answer my questions and we can proceed further.

    Thanks
